Well Pastor Scott gets full credit for this. He sent me and a few others an e-mail about Expelled: Intelligence Not Allowed. It's a documentary about how religion is stifled in the scientific field (we'll find out how legitimate it is as time goes on). You can watch the trailer here: expelledthemovie.com/video.php?utm_source=church&utm_medium=email&utm_content=TrailerI highly recommend accessing the news section of the site as well. Have any of you experienced religious-stifling in your experiences with science? I'll probably talk a little bit about my school later.

Well that certainly looks interesting! I have seen some religious-stifling at local colleges, but I don't have time at the moment to tell more, will explain later.

Same link I posted Well, I said I'd share about school, so here it is. To be honest, I haven't found any active suffocating of creation. It's just expected that everyone doesn't believe it. The last teacher I had point out that the Big Bang was just a theory and subject to debate was my 8th grade science teacher, Mr. Hostetter. He's a Christian himself and I'm glad to say he lets it be pretty visible in his classroom. I'm also glad to say noone's made any headway against him. On the flip side, my Physics teacher showed a video dealing with physics which assumed the Big Bang as the universe's starting point. Noone raised any objections... including me, which I'm kicking myself for. It's just assumed that by Senior High you've grown out of God... as if any of us could outgrow our infinite Creator! It's outrageous, and I'm beginning to fear non-confrontationalists like me are letting it happen.

I'll tell my stories now.
I went to a camp held at Penn State the last 2 summers. The first year we were learning about fish and the whole time the prof kept talking about them being our ancestors and how we evolved from them. It wasn't really the best time to confront and I am a non-confrontationalist too so I probably wouldn't have anyway.
But on the flip side the prof talking about wood this year kept talking about how it was designed so I was pretty sure that he was a christian.
Also I live watching Nova on PBS (when ever I am can get a tv), all the time they assume that evolution is true and they often have programs about it.
I also like to watch a physics class on DVD and in the one lesson the prof got really upset when he was talking about how people say that "evolution is JUST a theory." Then he kept going on how it has been proven.
I think that will do for now.

Hey, no one has been on this topic for a while. I justed wanted to comment about the film Expelled. When it was first discussed someone commented that we will see how good it is when it comes out, well I think it is probably a pretty good one from these quotes.
“Ben Stein’s film, Expelled, makes a powerful case for Intelligent Design in explaining the origins of life and the creation of the universe. It also exposes an entrenched and aggressive Darwinist establishment in academia that suffocates all competing points of view … Stein sets out on a mission to find out why I.D. is most often expelled from the public square, and what he discovers in this riveting documentary is incredibly enlightening. I recommend the film enthusiastically.” — James C. Dobson, Ph.D.,chairman of the board and founder of Focus on the Family
and,
“I love Ben Stein. We worked together in politics many years ago. What he’s doing in this film is extremely important because it is opening up an honest debate in the public square where people can hear reasoned arguments on both sides and make their own conclusions.” — Chuck Colson, radio commentator, founder of Prison Fellowship
