What about where the Bible says they attach to things? Really, I never read or heard about demons that encouraged temptations. We seem to do just fine on our own.

Very interesting topic to bring up again. Tommy please explain more of what you mean by demons of temptations and about the attaching to stuff.

Seriously, this seems like mostly conjecture and extra biblical mumbo jumbo that Tommy has bought into. I haven't seen any authoritative evidence that proves anything he has said. Jesse D. isn't Jesus and he has no traction with me. I don't understand how demons can attack us if nothing can hurt us; seems like a contradiction. I don't know of any Biblical passage that tells us how to "drive out" demons anyways. Very few people in the Bible are recorded as ever doing it. Last question, how can something supernatural be smaller than something natural, demons<career???

this is not mumbo jumbo.
6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. Colossians 2:6-10
Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
Matthew 7:6

Tommy, read your own verses! Can't you see? "Hollow and deceptive philosophy"? Couldn't that be your demons? Couldn't that be the extra-biblical information that is revealed nowhere in God's word?

Quick question...
What if we don't think much of the best of your knowledge?

So... are you saying don't share knowledge because you think we're pigs? What happened to the whole Great Commission?

Not only is that arrogant Tommy but all you've done so far is poke holes in your own arguments with those Bible verses. Just because someone has been raised with a philosophy and indoctrinated in it doesn't prove the veracity of it or its practicablity, only the tenacity of your beliefs. I could say something about how the path to hell is paved with good intentions. Lots of ignorant people who believe whole heartedly in their misguided ideas are going to hell. I'm not saying any of us here are going down there or that this is even a subject that would d**n someone to hell. I'm just saying it doesn't matter how hard you believe something. It does us no good to throw insults at each other. I think it would be much more fruitful to disect the arguments themselves instead of the people who are making them. Most of your argument so far has consisted of verses with little or no explanation and information that you've been fed by your family. You refuse to answer questions that expose flaws in your ideas and respond with personal attacks. I'm not impressed!

How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
Matthew 7:4
Oh, Sarah about the attaching to things i finally found the verse... when demons stopped being angels and became demons they lost their bodies and they search for a place of rest.
"When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
Matthew 12:43-45
J.C. and Sarah pm me if you want to keep talking about this but due to the same reasons as last time i will no longer post in here.
